What Is Proposition 65?
California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, also known as Proposition 65, requires businesses to notify Californians about potential exposures to chemicals that are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.
The law mandates that a clear and reasonable warning be provided if a product contains one or more of the over 900 chemicals listed by the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA). These chemicals may be found in household items, tools, furniture, electronics, plastics, or manufacturing components such as vinyl, coatings, and metal parts.
Why This Warning Is on Our Products
