BASI Pilates reformer in a bright indoor setting

Three clear steps

From the right reformer to the right documentation.

Equipment selection and medical qualification are separate decisions. Here is how to approach both.

Choose your equipment

Compare dimensions, storage and included accessories. Look for the HSA/FSA message on the product page; a product listing alone does not establish your eligibility.

Complete qualification

Follow the available Truemed process. An independent licensed clinician may review a private health survey and, when appropriate, issue a Letter of Medical Necessity.

Confirm payment & records

Follow Truemed's payment instructions, confirm your plan requirements, and retain your receipt and any LMN. Qualification and reimbursement are not guaranteed.

Before placing an order that depends on HSA/FSA funds, confirm the available payment process and documentation requirements with Truemed and your plan.

Product inclusion does not establish your eligibility. Check the product's HSA/FSA message and complete the applicable Truemed process.

Understanding the benefit

Potential tax savings. The same considered purchase.

HSA/FSA funds are generally set aside before applicable taxes. For qualified purchases, using those funds may reduce your effective out-of-pocket cost.

The average 30%* describes potential tax savings, not a Reformer Supply discount. Your actual savings depend on your circumstances and plan rules.

Qualification and documentation

Where Truemed comes in.

Truemed connects customers with a qualification process for eligible purchases. An independent licensed clinician evaluates medical necessity and decides whether an LMN is appropriate.

Product and individual eligibility must be confirmed. An LMN does not guarantee reimbursement.

Before you decide

Your HSA/FSA questions, answered.

Can any reformer qualify?

No blanket eligibility applies. Qualification depends on the specific item, your intended use, individual circumstances and plan requirements. A studio or business purchase is not automatically an eligible personal medical expense.

What is a Letter of Medical Necessity?

An LMN documents a licensed clinician's assessment of medical necessity for a specific health condition. Truemed's health survey helps the independent clinician assess qualification. An LMN is not a guarantee of plan reimbursement.

Can I pay directly with an HSA/FSA card?

For eligible orders, select Truemed when it appears at checkout and follow its qualification and payment instructions. Qualification is required and your plan's rules apply. Confirm the available process before ordering.

What happens if I do not qualify?

Do not assume the purchase can be paid for or reimbursed using HSA/FSA funds. You can still compare equipment and choose whether to purchase with another available payment method. Contact Truemed or your plan if you need clarification.

What if my HSA/FSA balance is below the price?

Payment options depend on the available purchase process and your plan. Contact Truemed about how to handle a partial balance before placing an order that depends on HSA/FSA funds.

Can this apply to an earlier order?

Do not assume an earlier purchase qualifies. Check with Truemed and your plan about the purchase date, required documentation and applicable rules before seeking reimbursement.

Who can help me?
